     The first paragraph should include an overview of your research.  What motivated you to select this particular topic?
     The exegesis should begin with who wrote the passage and what kind of book it is found in (law, history, poetry, prophecy, gospel, epistle).  Discussion of the general context of the verses (what is the historical and social setting) should be next.   (You will omit this paragraph for the papers dealing with characters.)
     The bulk of the report should consist of information obtained from the sources.  This must be presented entirely in your own words (no copying and pasting).   You need to give references for direct quotations.  You may use footnotes or parentheses.  Bible quotations may be cited simply by their initials (i.e. NASB for New American Standard).
     Then you should give your evaluation of the information.
     The last paragraph should involve a brief review.
